Jekyll & Dad

In the dim haze of a suburban trap, 19-year-old Lucy (Jojo Kiss) hunches over her books, voice sharp as she yells for her buddy Emma (Kay Carter) from the next room. No reply. Panic claws at her gut; she bolts into the shadowed hallway, eyes darting like a hunted fox. At the far end of the house, she corners Emma—locked in easy banter with Lucy's step-dad, the hulking Mr. Edwards (Dick Chibbles). They jolt at her wild-eyed intrusion. Emma spins a smooth tale: bathroom ran dry, she wandered, bumped into the big man, words flowed like cheap whiskey. 'Never knew your step-dad's a cop, Luce—kept that dark secret tight!' Emma purrs. Lucy's on edge, yanking at Emma's arm to drag her back to the grind of homework. Edwards smirks, voice gravel: 'Stick around for chow, kid.' Lucy cuts in hard—no dice. He leans in, eyes gleaming: 'Door's open if you rethink it, or swing by post-crash for a midnight cram.' Emma's cheeks flush, murmuring thanks as Lucy hauls her out like contraband. 'Pleasure's mine,' he growls after them. Alone in the gloom, his hand curls into a white-knuckled vise, veins bulging with raw, seething fury.
